About

We welcome vacationers and newcomers to the area.

Visiting any church for the very first time can be an anxious experience. Well, we want to put you at ease. Your first visit to Calvary will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and “at home”! Here are a few answers to your questions and what you might expect on your first visit.

Q: When are your services?

A: Sunday

9:30 AM Children Sunday School Classes / Adult & Teen Bible Classes

10:30 AM Morning Worship Service

7:00 PM Evening Service

Wednesday

7:30 PM Prayer / Bible Study

Q: How do I get to Calvary?

A: We are conveniently located at 309 Water Street (Hwy 60 / 78) near Hemlock Street. People from all over the Sauk / Prairie, Plains, Baraboo, Lodi areas attend our church on a regular basis. For detailed driving directions from your location, please refer to Google Maps.

Q: What can I expect on my first visit?

A: An usher at the door will welcome you and can answer any questions you may have. Most adults attend the worship service where they enjoy the traditional singing of the hymns, special music, and a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from Pastor Hoffman. This service is about one hour in length. However, the best way to get to know people and more of the Bible is to attend the Children’s Sunday School and/or Adult & Teen Bible classes at 9:30 a.m. If you have an infant, toddler, or preschooler we will provide childcare or classes for them during your visit. If they are not comfortable or ready to be separated from you, you may keep them with you.

Q: How should I dress?

A: There is not a dress code at Calvary for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Calvary Baptist!

Q: Am I Expected to Participate in the Offering?

A: No. We don’t invite you to Calvary Baptist for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
